About the We The People Network

The We the People Network is devoted to the education and empowerment of everyday people, who feel like they have been taken out of the loop when it comes to deciding their own futures, the future of our country as well as the future of this planet. We hope to empower everyday people, like you and me, to take our futures into our own hands, for ourselves, our children, and our children's children.

Toward this end, we will make every effort to:
Provide the WTPNet Forum that will serve as a place for you to talk about what concerns you, your families, and your communities.

Emphasize nonpartisan, cross-cultural collaboration, community involvement, citizen empowerment through the exercise of popular sovereignty, as well as the use of only nonviolent methods in the pursuit of any discussion or ideology.

Provide a vast storehouse of educational material with our online library, on subjects such as our Constitution, popular sovereignty, and the history of our country.

Provide education into the history and practical application of nonviolent action as a realistic and effective tool for social, environmental and political change.

Provide a place to organize for support and implementation of planned nonviolent action campaigns as well as political and/or legislative lobbying events, additionally to reach a larger political base and to keep people updated on important news and events.

As always, your participation is vital and welcome.

Core Values and Mission Statement

These are the "Core Values" of the We the People Network and it's webmaster Paul Fisher. These are not only the basic assumptions that serve to guide our conduct and mission, but also to dispel any notions about perceived agendas.

We advocate for the people of this country to hold a new Constitutional Convention, in order to bring desperately needed Amendments to the Constitution, in order to strengthen and to preserve the document. These Amendments should include:

-Amending the Preamble to include important elements of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

-Providing a solid mechanism for the people to enforce the Sworn Oath of Office on all government officials and their agents. This mechanism must be under the control of the people and not subject to governmental approval. It must provide for the sanctioning and/or removal of offenders. It should be limited to specific offenses and mediated by a special assembly that would convene for this purpose alone. Assembly members could be comprised of citizens based on whether the defendant was local, state or federally affiliated, and they could be selected randomly by lottery.

-Eliminating corporate personhood in the business environment. Rights of persons and other living things should only be enjoyed by persons and other living things. This would make all business interests accountable to violations of the public trust and allow for the revocation of charters, as well as the seizure and re-distribution of assets.

-Providing for free, open elections by banning all political contributions across the board. Reform of media and FCC rules and regulations to provide for free and equal time for all political candidates for the purpose of campaigning. Reform election rules so that all elections are by popular vote.

-Reform of media and FCC rules and regulations in order to break up monopolies, and to return control of airwaves, etc., to communities.

-Repeal of laws relating to the prohibition of Marijuana and it's classification as a controlled substance.

We advocate for the establishment of stringent international standards for the environment, human rights, labor, free elections, healthcare, education, and the regulation of financial markets, all of which would be administered through a strengthened United Nations. This would seek to place all people everywhere on the same level, and would help to assure fundamental human rights across the globe. Assuming that everyone adheres to the aforementioned international standards, this could be a truly fair and equitable free market system.

We advocate for the de-centralization of government in the United States and elsewhere, and the re-establishment of local control over a region's resources and decision making to the people of the region, in compliance with international standards. Non-routine decision making that affects the people of a region should be made by the people of the region in open townhall style meetings. Local governments comprised of local citizenry would handle all other concerns of the local people. This would help ensure the preservation of regional cultures and traditions while recognizing that we are all one people on one Earth, and that what any one person does, affects all.

We advocate for an open border policy that supports natural migrations, be they people or wildlife. We are pro-people. Free people. Boundaries are sometimes created to protect people from outside hostilities, but the majority of the time they are created to contain the people or to control the land and it's resources. The distinctions between regions should be from the culture, traditions, and languages of it's people. Some consideration should still be given to border control measures inasmuch as it is desirable to prevent the unrestricted entry of those people that seek to cause harm, or that may carry a life-threatening communicable disease that can be transmitted via airborne means.

We do not support the concept or implementation of agreements like NAFTA, NAU, SPP, or any other trade agreement that has been proposed by business or government officials. We believe instead that there should be strict international standards that set the basis for all trade. This is the only way to ensure equitable rights for all. This has nothing to do with one world government. It is about mutual respect.We believe it is possible to have an equitable market economy, however it cannot be based on any current corporate model of economy. Corporations must not be allowed to act with more power than a single flesh and blood citizen.

We advocate for the de-militarization of our society and our world. We support our soldiers for everything they have sacrificed in the name of freedom, and we will see that they recieve all the assistance and support they require, but we do not believe the military-industrial complex is deserving of any further support. It is time to bring our soldiers home. It is time to rethink what it means to be in service to our country and to our fellow human beings.

We do not accept monetary donations, nor have we received any to this date. We choose to disassociate with the current economy and it's ties to inhumane and illegal activities around the globe. When Constitutional order is restored, we will resume our ties with the economy and with the government. Until that time, We the People reserve our exclusive Right to withhold all support from an unlawful, unresponsive, and dangerously corrupt government that is subject to the collective will of We the People.

Nor will the We the People Network ever knowingly contain material that advocates for racism, sexism or other discrimination in any form, including violence and/or discrimination against any person for issues of sexual preference and/or gender identity. The People's Pledge of Allegiance

I do solemnly swear allegiance to my family, my neighbors, my community, and my planet.

I fully understand that We the People's authority over government comes from the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution. The Constitution is a framework that We the People created and use to control government, not for the government to control the people.

I fully understand that We the People are popular sovereigns, and that We the People have ultimate authority over our government. The people's rights are natural rights, declared to the world in our Declaration of Independence; whereas the government exists on privilege, on authority delegated to it by We the People.

I will support those government officials that honor their Sworn Oath of Office to support and defend the Constitution. However, it is my moral, ethical, and legal duty to confront unlawful government behavior in all it's forms, regardless of the individual or their claim of authority.

I will stand up to a government that attempts to violate my rights or the rights of others.

I will defend Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness for all.
