A People's Constitutional Convention IS the Nonviolent Revolution we seek, a Citizen Coup

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Isn't that the truth?

How bad does it have to get before people in this country finally understand the value of a People's Constitutional Convention and are willing to fight for it? How much farther are we going to slide toward corporate totalitarianism before we the people realize that the most powerful tool of reform was laid at our feet 233 years ago, and all we have to do is pick it up?

Read the words, then try to tell me they don't mean exactly what they say.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, & the pursuit of happiness: that to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, & to institute new government, laying it's foundation on such principles, & organizing it's powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety & happiness.... it is their right, it is their duty to throw off such government, & to provide new guards for their future security."

Some naysayers claim that what I propose is dangerous. What is so dangerous about incorporating the UN Declaration on Human Rights and the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples into a new gender-inclusive Preamble? I should ask, dangerous to whom?

What is so threatening about creating an Amendment to the Constitution that gives the people an effective tool to remove government officials who violate their Sworn Oaths of Office? What exactly is so scary about the idea of actually creating an Amendment to the Constitution that strips corporations and other fictitious entities from having the rights of flesh and blood persons? A right they were never supposed to have, I might add.

Skeptics say that only the Congress can call such a Convention, and the process would be dominated by the existing corrupted elements. Not if we call our Convention under the authority of the Declaration of Independence, and not if we the people elect all new delegates to the Convention. You must realize that the Constitution is not the governing document for we the people. Our authority as the trustees to our own future was declared to the world in the Declaration of Independence. This is the document that establishes our ultimate sovereignty over government. The Constitution itself, is the document that we the people created to define and control government, not the other way around. And when the Constitution is no longer able to control government, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it (government via an amended Constitution). Now when you understand this, you then realize that the Article V Convention stipulated for Congress only applies to the government, and only applies when the government is still responsive to the people.

What kind of future do you want? More war? More violence? Absolutely not! What kind of future are we going to leave to our children? Our choice is clear. Our duty is clear. Demand and help organize a People's Constitutional Convention. Regain control of our country for the people. This is the clear path to peace and stability in our world. The tool of reform lies at our feet. Do you have the courage to help pick it up?

THE Mother of All Petitions

It has already happened. Welcome the House Chamber of the people constitutional Convention. Com. The “We the People Constitutional Convention” Is Convened. This is the real “House of “The People.” This is where you will help draft the document; THE Petition that will direct our Congress to make the necessary changes that will bring down the Double Pillars of Stalemate, PARTISANSHIP, and the awesome power of SPECIAL INTEREST ORGANIZATIONS.

The “People’s” Convention does not operate the way our House of Representative and the United States Senate do. This Chamber is in session twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, and three hundred and sixty five days a year. Last year, on day three hundred and sixty six, we rested. This is the place you will be able to make suggestions, ask questions, get information and news, and donate time services only. That is another thing we do different in the “People’s” Chamber. We do not take money. Not from individuals, organizations, or any special interest of any kind. At this Convention, in this Chamber, there is no seat at the table for The United Pickle Peckers Union, or any other private or non profit, political, religious or secular organization. As for the first question, I am sure there is no general recipe, each monitoring mechanism has its own specificity, and the room for improvement must be baseball explored on a case-by–case basis. However, there is no doubt that effectiveness can considerably be raised if the different monitoring mechanisms act in a harmonized manner, which demands a continuous dialogue among them. In my understanding such an initiative has already been taken by the Committee of Ministers and was welcomed by the representatives baseball bats of the monitoring bodies. I would further encourage this undertaking. As for the second and third questions, I am convinced that they are interlinked: the Council of Europe needs a better outreach to the people, to representatives of the civil sphere, and especially to the press in order to raise the awareness of its role as a guarantor of fundamental human and political rights. In my program I offer three specific areas, which, in the years to come could be at the forefront of our priorities. My goal is to confirm the Council of Europe’s image in its member states as a strong and credible ally of baseball cards all individuals and groups of people whose basic human rights are challenged and who cannot find remedy at national level.
